>the closest I can get to reliving my childhood is watching kids who were born after 9/11 LARPing as my generation
I know this shouldn't feel too surreal or anything, but it actually does.
Not that I expect any of you millennials to get it.

How about an 80s movie that points out how DnD turns kids into murderers?
>>80562832
>watching ET or Flight of the Nav for the 70th time
Might as well just kill himself.
I was a little young to match the kids on this show, but close enough to remember some of that. Plus my parents never let me watch 80s horror. It wasn't really until college in 2000 that I got into it.

>Flight of the Nav
Thank you. I was looking for downloading old Disney films I had on VHS as a kid. Forgot about that one.
>one is black
>one is... uh... retarded
>the one in the background is a limp-wristed fairyboy who doesn't lift
>one is LGBT
Wow. So progressive. Much tolerance.
I finally got around to watching this and just finished watching the first season.
I think it's more than a knockoff. I think it's a solid 80s coming of age movie, just made today.
And the story and characters were more than just nostalgia. It felt like a honest look at the decade, not just a cash in on some fad. Plus I love alt dimension and secret government experiment kino.
Why does this seem familiar?

Better yet, one of the many modern films that ripoff 80s films this rips off.
I was born in 1987 in a then commie country and grew up in the 90s with mostly 80s American movies. Stranger Things gave me feels.
