As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a shitposter. To me, being a shitposter was better than being President of the United States. Even before I first wandered into the /tv/ for an after-school lurk, I knew I wanted to be a part of them. It was there that I knew that I belonged. To me, it meant being somebody in a japanese image board that was full of nobodies. They weren't like anybody else. I mean, they did whatever they wanted. They threaded their own posts and nobody ever gave them a ban. In the summer when they shitposted all night, nobody ever called the mods.

Goodfellas felt more personal. Ace wasn't as compelling as Henry if you ask me, but the organized crime was done better in Casino. I like them both, can't decide.

casino is a good, fun flick, but goodfellas is true kino

Goodfellas did it better and the pacing is much better. Goodfellas is 10/10, Casino is 9.5. But both are very very good. On par, but a different flavor, with the Godfather series.

It feels like Casino is almost a revision of Goodfellas. Scorsese had some notions as an after thought that he figured would make Goodfellas better. So he bundled all that into a new movie with the same actors all playing the same types... but it was slightly less inspired.

But don't get me wrong, Casino is still better than any major Hollywood production I've seen in 10 years.
