It's even worse with comedies, which there is literally no excuse for being over two hours. Its just tedious after that point at best.

At worst they switch to some sort of quasi-drama about an hour and a half in. They spend like 20 useless minutes with some pointless struggle, and then spend the last 20 minutes being comedic again.
