The action scenes aren't really terrible, the show is just staying true to the style of the comic.

It's not going for realistic looking or impactful fights, just stylistic wow moments reminiscent of the comic book this show hails from.

They do this realyl well actually, there is tons of moments where you could literally pause the screen and the shot looks directly out of a comic book.

There is very little this show is doing wrong at the moment

I've never seen a Marvel movie that i've enjoyed on any level, and I've seen 8 of the movies. I didn't like them because they felt embarrassingly dumb and formulaic that felt like every scene was approved by a marketing team instead of a director with a vision. Is Legion something that might actually be interesting on any sort of artistic level?

LITERALLY (LITERALLY) the only sequence of events in terms of where an episode begins and ends is that episode 6 is in his mind and nothing else is.

They even explicitly show the difference between when something is or isn't "real" Like for example take the last episode. It's set in a mental hospital right, but they keep showing the real event; David and Syd getting shot in his old house. It's even slowed down in real life to portray that any other scene is happening in his mind. The point of the episode is to show that the DYE is trying to stall Syd out from exposing where they really are so that she gets shot; the only thing keeping David sane and in control.

There is a clear line of events from when the show started to where it currently is that make up the plot. David was in a mental hospital, he met Syd, she ended up working with Summerland during the initial incident, she later helps him escape the other facility, this leads to his sister getting captured to find out where he is, with a combination of this motivation and Summerland training he becomes more in tune with his powers, the DYE uses this to his advantage to finally perform a coup on his brain/body, and now we are at this episode. All of this happened with no implication that it was fabricated by David.
