It's not that they DON'T vote. I guarantee had they given Sanders the nomination, they would have turned out in droves. But the establishment left did every sneaky underhanded thing they could think of to sabotage his campaign. But it's obvious Sanders had the public support.

Sanders was filling entire stadiums (with just as many waiting outside). Hillary couldn't fill high school gymnasiums. But all the money and establishment backed Hillary so they weren't gonna let Sanders get the nomination.

But since they picked a corporatist shill and even the lefties knew it, Democratic voter turnout was crap...

And on the other hand, it looked like Trump was the first Republican in decades to really endorse conservative values.... whether he actually does is debatable but that's how he presented himself and the right, for the most part, ate it up.

But now I'm thinking many lefties are regretting their decision to sit this one out.

The parties gave the right who they wanted and the left got the shitty consolation prize candidate that they weren't excited about. Next time they shouldn't meddle in the nomination and they should give the people who they want rather than someone who's obviously just a re-skinning of Obama (who most of the left were disappointed in).

One more thing. The whole Russian boogeyman act has to stop. It's nothing more than modern McCarthyism and further alienates intelligent lefties from their politicians. That depends on how far the connection goes. If Trump wants to improve relationship with Russia then that's fine. But once report about him allegedly having a massive debt to them, Rex Tillers having massive business ties to Russia and one guy who openly told them classified information then the "lets gets friendly" with Russia talks starts raising an eyebrow.
