I'd have been pissed if I saw it in theaters but it was a by the numbers space films with a really shitty "we need the Kubrick audience" thing at the end.

No it was boring. Not so bad it's good, just bad

It's actually really good. It's serious enough while not being too serious and has a nice hopeful optimistic message that you don't see much these days. The sense of wonder is nice.
