You'll probably find the first season boring. Keep with it. The first season is mostly villain of the week episodes that are mostly character and world building, then in season 2 the plot kicks in, shit starts to get real and it just keeps getting realer with no signs of stopping until the end of season 4.

Slow start with Season 1, has some great episodes, and handy as background before getting into the meat and potatoes of Seasons 2-4. Overall: great fun, deep storylines, great characters, touching scenes, decent action, good music, shitty effects (but try to see that in the context of its time, after Season 1 the effects also get better)

Solid 9/10 imo.

the first season is slow going in places, but not as bad as TNG or DS9 first seasons so if you've seen those you'll be alright.

season 2-4 are great, season 5 dips to just ok.

The first season is titled Signs and Portents, for a good reason.

A ton of stuff that initially appears insignificant actually holds a lot of relevance to the main plot.

I wish I could forget that I watched this show so I could watch it all over again.

I think Mass Effect ripped this show off on many levels, at the same time was inferior in every aspect.

Can't fault them, I guess, seems like industry standard for video games to rip television and print.

Such an amazing show.
As they said firsr season is crap and boring
But its just setting the world and universe up.
Second season stuff gets awesome.
Final season does go down a bit. But still has some good moments.

But the bad news is that most of the cast is dead now. Alot of them died suddenly and unexpectedly. So we won't ever get a sequel to it.


If you end up liking it. Then you might like an anime called legend of the galactic heroes .

Also a new series called the expanse which is on its 2nd season now.
