After watching Logan, I watched the first X-men movie from 2000.
Damn he's a lot more compassionate.
In Logan he didn't give a shot about Laura until later in the movie.
In X-men he gives Rogue a ride, says he'll protect and nearly gives his life to save her in the end.

Jeff Bridges is one of the two good Marvel villains and that's because Iron Man was there before all the Marvel movies were the same fucking thing.

But really, this soldier dude was more or less a generic villain guy, which fits the movie far better than retarded supervillain crap that would've messed with the tone of the movie. Pierce is rather generic, but Boyd Holbrook's performance elevated the material. He also had a neat design that made him memorable.

But he's hardly that much of a standout in comparison to the MCU's villains. In fact I found him rather similar to Rumlow from "Captain America: The Winter Soldier", who was also a generic henchman that made an impression due to Frank Grillo's solid acting.

In fact barring Loki and Jeff Bridges in "Iron Man", the MCU's best villains come from the Captain America movies.

Cross should have been a former protege turned head of a rival company that was trying to replicate Pym's work. That way his bitterness would have made more sense and Hank hiring a thief would have made more sense than just getting his daughter, who is on the board of directors, from filing an injunction against Cross to keep him from selling the tech to Hydra.
