jared leto joker (and that movie's harley quinn) were massive disappointments. that movie's joker was more of an ordinary criminal. the joker's distinguishing characteristic is his maniacal insanity but jared leto's joker's only distinguishing characteristic is that he's in love.

harley quinn is one character i enjoyed a lot. she's also maniacally psychotic but this movie's harley quinn was a pale shadow of harley quinn's personality. she's been turned into an angsty in-love tween. the scenes where she's supposed to be maniacally psychotic were meh.
