If you fell for the 3D TV meme, watch that or look for a rip with the brightness fixed. WB phoned in the transfer on literally everything but the 3D bluray.

The one thing the 2014 Godzilla at least got right was putting the visual perspective at human level. It really showed how horrifying it would be to have creatures walking around of this magnitude.

That being said, why the fuck did they go with such a convoluted story and a character literally named Ford Brody. Should have just stuck with Brian Cranston following the awaking of the Kaiju's and showing how utterly helpless humans are in that situation.

The human characters were irritatingly overwritten, and there were simply too many. They already had an emotional hook with the estranged father and son, but the focus shifting to HIS wife and son made the movie tone-deaf and weak narratively.

The MC didn't need to have a face to face with the sexy bug monster, nor did he need to be 'helping'. The shift from 'we need to help civillians' to 'we need to kill this monster first' was stupid.

See? Even this post about the fucking movie is overwritten. Give me a break, Hollywood.

there was no need to kill either of them, the story should have been an estranged father reuniting with his son, if Cranston had lived the emotional hook would have been him not wanting him to go on the mission to set the bomb because it would be like how he lost his wife, but ultimately Quickass succeeds (well Godzilla does) and they become a family again.
