Lots of diplomacy shit, talking, talking and more talking, with some action in between. Holodeck episodes can be boring as fuck. (its the producers saying we're bored and out of ideas, lets just film in the grass over here)

Lots of great episodes mixed in with a lot of shit episodes. Instead of 'filler' like you get with TNG, you either get good stuff or shit. There is no in between. Janeway is best captain, but goddamn she does some stupid shit.

Something you kids (yep, I'm grandpa Trek) don't remember is that DS9 was HATED as a ST series when it was airing. Much more than Voyager. It gaineda better reputation afterwards, but back then it was sort of a joke. Le Edgy ST Whe're Not Your Daddy's Safe Little Trek Anymore CONFLICT DARKNESS BACKSTABBING RAPE TERRORISM GENOCIDE EVERY FUCKING DAY!!!

Okay, I'm exagerating a little, but a lot of the audience hate-watched it only because it was a ST show with a few TNG crossover episodes and the actors didn't give a fuck for the most part.
