Film spoon feeding you it's themes and lacking subtlety is a flaw. Also, the dream sequences were hardly interesting and Nolan played it too safe. Satoshi Kon's Paprika did it far better than Inception.

There are a good amount of great action movies, but this is not even a decent one, let alone a good one. Like I said, it had an interesting premise that boiled down into a generic action movie, and that's why it was bad.

What I meant was the dream aspect of the film gives a lot of room to play with, but Nolan failed to utilize that and the end result was mediocre at best. Satoshi Kon's Paprika was a real visual treat and used it's dream sequences much better than Inception did. Learn to read.

Except it didn't. It's visually interesting, but it's a lot less focused than Inception. In Paprika you always know when it's a dream. The whole premise of Inception is to make the dreams some what realistic so that you don't know whether it's real life or not...y'know the central conflict with the main character and his wife. And all of that is tied up nicely and explored in the movie. Sounds to me like you don't even understand the premise or why it works.

Expect it did. Remember the Parade scene? And in Paprika the blurred line between reality and the dream sequences was one of the best aspects of the film and something Kon does often in his work, just take a look at Millennium Actress in which he did it perfectly. Even though it's his weakest film, it's still a solid one and better than Nolan's copy of it.

How could I have missed that? It's not like the movie constantly bombarded the viewer with it, but oh wait, it did. That was perhaps the only thing Inception managed to pull off decently. Also, stop being condescending, it brings nothing to the discussion.
