>Not sure what letterboxd is all about?
The mission of /lbg/ is to promote the idiotic discussion of film as entertainment by providing members with zero opportunities for intellectual discussion, by recognizing pleb taste through examinations and by calling out embryos McCarthy style as they arise.

>Haven't got an account? Just fuck off, the website sucks Hepatitis B!

QOOT: On a scale of 1 to Emily Jean, how amazing do you find it that Letterboxd and /lbg/ is able to exist at such an awful level?

I started rating movies lately, but I find it hard. Everything is around 3.5 to me, maybe slightly better or worse than that. Putting into words what I like and what I don't about a movie is far easier, but I think I suck at writing.

Yeah I'm in it. It's really not that useful unless you're interested in some really obscure movies. Most of the well known arthouse films can be gotten in a lot of other private and public trackers.

The main issue it has is seeding. There are so many torrents that are dead and barely have any seeds.

Good evening sperglords.

Allow me to introduce myself first, My name is Cinebro, and I hate every single one of you. All of you are plebeian, boring, casuals who spend every second of their day talking about shitty superhero films. You are everything wrong with the board. Honestly, have any of you ever seen a French New Wave film? I mean, I guess it’s okay for fifth graders to have taste like this but you guys take it to a whole other level. This is even worse than playing Call of Duty all day.

Don’t be a stranger. Just hit me with your best shot. I’m pretty much a true cinephile. I live in a booming city and work at an arthouse cinema. What do you do other than shitpost and talk about Hobbits? I also got straight A's at film school and have a banging hot blu-ray collection. You are all plebeians who should just kill yourselves. Thanks for listening.

Pic related, it's me and my films.

>Jarmusch

He is a dilettante, a bohemian. Cinema is inessential to his life. He is always the outsider, but not in a good way – he doesn’t get his hands dirty. [He is] a facile exploiter of others’ authenticity… appropriating all the usual bourgeois tropes of authenticity [such as the] indian in ‘Dead Man’, or african-american culture in ’Ghost Dog. Not only is he shallow, but he presents shallowness as a virtue. Like all bohemians, he is an ironist. This is cowardice, not cinema.

The noble Duke of York,
he had ten thousand men,
he marched them up to the top of the hill,
and marched them down again.

And when you're up, you're up,
and when you're down, you're down,
and when you're only half way up,
You're neither up nor down.

If Emily Jean were a movie, Edgar Cochran would give her a 100/100
If Emily Jean were a director, she'd be Federico Fellini
If Emily Jean were a country of film, she'd be Italy
If Emily Jean were a style of filmmaking, she'd be French New Wave
If Emily Jean were anymore perfect, she'd be Emily Jean

Don't forget to watch Duck, You Sucker at some point.

>>80345331
It was fun. How do the sequels stack up?

>>80353882
It's a rainy night here in Vancouver, so a noir would fit. The Third Man fits the bill nicely.

I really liked Logan, will be hard to beat super hero movie of the year.
Mia Wasikowska is the best thing in Alice and Map to the Stars. Would consider going straight for her. lol.
