Did Logan remind anyone else of No Country for Old Men? They felt very similar but I can't put my finger on why.
These are probably my top two favorite movies. I felt empty after seeing both. It's like I left a piece of myself with the movie.

Modern day westerns both emphasising mortality and how all of us could die in a horrible way without warning

Why don't more people make these types of movies? Green Room is another example of it being done well but without the western feel.

Totally got that feeling as well. What reminded you of it?

Hell or High Water reminded me a bit of No Country for Old Men.
I don't watch capeshit.

No Country for Old Men was always my favorite movie because it affected me on deep emotional level for reasons I can't explain. Logan was great because it had that same feeling with a father/daughter relationship thrown in. It was beautiful and tragic. I can't really explain the feeling though.

Yeah I loved Hell or High Water. It redeemed Chris Pine for me. I think you would love Logan. It transcends capeshit.
