Rich wears proto-space cop stuff, and is called Space Cop in their really old ass VHS shorts, and then plays Space Cop with the newer stuff, then we see Space Cop multiple times in HiTB, and BoTW.

When I see Space Cop, I see a movie made by a few friends just fucking around. You should have said Feeding Frenzy, since that was literally a: "It's bad on purpose!" movie.

I think that they realized after making Feeding Frenzy, that there is a very clear divide between "bad on purpose" and "bad accidentally", which Jay and Mike both go on to reference multiple times at different points after Feeding Frenzy came out. Most recently in the Deadliest Prey movie BoTW.

I also think that they are confusing surrealist, cringe-based humor (like T&E) with "bad on purpose" based comedy.
