Why was this show so fucking good?

Because it was slapstick comedy perfectly blended with feels.

Man, there was a ratio of about 1 gut punch per episode. It was seriously great, and no other wishy-washy sitcom even got close to having just one of the same caliber.

Yep. Scrubs never hit the highs of comedy that some contemporaneous sitcoms did, but they definitely managed including emotional moments better than anyone on tv.

Between that and consistently good to great comedy Scrubs was just one of the best.

It got boring after 8-9 episodes.

The feels were weak.
The jokes were bad.

JD certainly took a dive, and even the Janitor started becoming lolsorandum a bit. Cox and Kelso and Ted were always top notch and Turk/Elliot picked up some of the slack here and there as well.

The only sitcom feelsy episode I can think of was in HIMYM, when Barney thought his dad was this big shot that did everything cool, and when he discovered he was a boring suburbs dad he yelled something along the lines of "if you were going to be a boring old dad, why wouldn't you be one for me". I feel like it was a waster of a huge gut punch if well done, but the execution wasn't spectacular.

how can you even take that trash seriously? scrubs was 10 times funnier without shoving liberal bullshit down your throat every 10s. also, scrubs had that episode when cox's friend died, prolly the saddest thing ive seen in a sitcom
