American fucking Gothic, man! This is another one of those gems that arrived on the tv screens way too soon with the dark and moody style and with a charming and most likely completely evil antihero. This would have easily survived if it would have been made about ten years later.

Gary Cole was awesome as the supernatural sheriff Lucas Buck, Lucas Black was a fairly good child actor, Brenda Bakke as the slutty man eating teacher (and that might be taken literally), Page Turco as a too noisy reporter and of course Sarah Paulson.

This got better and better, but keep in mind that the DVD episode order is as fucked up as the original shitty airing schedule. Check out the Wiki page for the correct order.
