OP here. Made this thread before I passed out last night - just spent the last half hour reading your replies and doing Logan-related research in bed after I woke up. Thanks for clearing up the Sunseeker thing; I totally spaced on the 'going to sea' bit.

For the guys who couldn't hear Charles' last line - I couldn't either. The sound in my theatre was great, but that one particular line was soft/overpowered by the big D bass audio system. I got "Our boat... the Sunseeker" from the quotes section of IMDb.

The "evil" Dr. is very specific about his part and how they did it - it was no accident considering his relationship to other known mutant experimenters. Xavier's naivete doomed his species and the only people who know the truth are now all dead meaning the conspiracy will continue unabated. The whole movie is the conclusion of the x men story of mutants/x-men. It was good because it was bitter sweet, and makes sense within the tone of the first movies. Yeah they tried to do good, and it didn't amount to much of anything but they tried and there is some hope that the new mutants might live peacefully but Logan in this universe and to some extent Xavier find some peace at the end of their era
