When was the last time a movie really frightened you?

this girl has a rather devilish grin, what has she planned?

Really frightened, instead of just getting a natural reaction out of something popping at your face?
Ending of The Wailing, especially the cave scene. First time I really appreciated using a "dumb" prosthetic/suit instead of a GCI monster

That's for her to know and for you to find out ;)

I hate admitting this but all of the native scenes in Peter Jackson's King Kong terrified me.

I was a kid, no more than 5. My sister tried to be a little shit and called me to watch something with her, it was The Shining ABC series.
The bathroom scene happened.
I never felt a deeper sense of dread in my entire life, of course I screamed and ran away.
Was afraid of bathrooms for a while after that.
In fact, to this day, every once in a while, when the atmosphere is just creepy enough, I still get a little spooked going to the bathrrom.
