Equilibrium is unironically my favorite kino


My only complaint is the choreography. Don't get me wrong, the gun kata looked amazing but not exactly like what you see being practiced. It was more standing in one place and aimbot everyone compared to tai chi with guns.

Loved the final gun deflecting fight though

No, emotions were supposed to be completely suppressed. It was only established that the HNIC was off his meds. If anything, Black Guy was indignant toward people's emotions.

I remember liking this when it came out but I watched a bit recently and it's fucking laughable

I got to meet Sean Pertwee a few years ago at a con. He was pretty quiet and I asked him a couple questions about Event Horizon. Dude seemed pretty chill so I asked him about Equilibrium and what it was like playing Father
He said that he did the whole thing in less than a day and it was literally just him in a small box room reading lines

you can tell the equilibrium crew thought they were going to make the next Matrix. the movie was a massive joke, the gunkana shit was for fagmeister animelords, and every 6th word in the movie is "Cleric".
