So I just watched the pilot episode of this show, I'm not much of a comic book guy so idgaf about cannon/lore. It seemed like a weak show and I wanted to know what you guys think of this?
I don't want to spend more time in this show to find out its bad
You'll like it a lot more if you're familiar with the comics. Otherwise it's a pretty silly show with a great villain in the first season.

It gets better then it faceplants into seinfeld levels of shitness
>>80226712
I would suggest you watch season 1 then skip season 2 because the story is basically the same and the episodes become boringly similar. I haven't watched season 3 because I lost interest in the show in season 2.
wtf barry
The script didn't seem to be that good, maybe my standards had just been raised because I finished Westworld - but I wasn't a fan of some of the things they said
>>80226767
Season 2 seems like it ran out of budget and had to rewrite the script, Jay Garrick turning out to be Zoom made no sense (originally Zoom was Earth 2 Barry but I guess the writers didn't know how to work that into the script)
>It's a none of this would have happened if the Flash had dragged the bad guy to STAR labs instead of stopping to have a conversation and being caught off guard even though he has light speed reflexes episode
>>80226950
>you are now manually remembering Barry stopping time to dump exposition to the audience in the earliest episodes
>>80226792
To time prison you go, black man.
>>80226851
Your standards mustve been really low if fucking westworld raised them
>>80226876
>(originally Zoom was Earth 2 Barry but I guess the writers didn't know how to work that into the script)
Literally what? Zoom was always Hunter Zoloman
>>80226876
Zoom was always meant to be Jay. Him being Barry was quickly scrapped.
>>80227020
>but muh comics
DCucks are literally the worst
>>80227020
Good writer who left after season 1 wanted zoom to be Barry from earth 2
>>80227038
You're literally more into the show than i am if >>80227043 is true.
>>80227027
Not really, you can tell mid seasons that the quality of the show dropped sharply. Apparently the wanted the guy playing (fake) Jay to be a reoccuring character but he wanted to do other projects so they made him into Zoom as a way to write him off the show
>>80227072
None of that is true. They dropped hints to Jay being Zoom as early as episode 2 of season 2.
>>80227062
It's not.
this show is amazing
>>80227191
False, there were many things in the first half of the season that made no sense for zoom to do if he was planning to steal flashs speed
>>80226712
I like the zoom stuff.
>>80226851
>my standards had just been raised because I finished Westworld
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
But seriously, The Flash is probably not for you. It's very cheesy, comic-booky, CW-y, etc. Lots of melodrama, lots of dumb decisions and inconsistent powers. Very far from the stoic Nolan-isms of Westworld. The first season 's antagonist angle is amazing. But it doesnt reach those heights again, just remains cheesy, often frustrating fun, with great perofmance(s) by Tom Cavanagh.
I mean seriously, I know it's tv but this budget JUST
is this show for real
>>80230289
Can someone post Booty Spivot tho?
>>80230538
lewd
Where to anon?
bump for a straight answer
Barry is basically Peter Parker in this except not as funny, there's forced melodrama every other episode, and the enemy of the week stuff is very formulaic, still if you're into superheroes and want something that cares about the silliness of superheroes shows Flash maybe for you maybe
>>80226792
Probably would've been sucked in, himself.
>>80231945
the show gets less formulaic as the show progresses though. The forced melodrama is annoying. Its always the same someone gets furious over nothing, storms out, then the remaining people all look around until someone says "I'll go talk to him/her." Other than that the show is worth watching.
>>80228329
Such as?
>>80232152
From what I read that's actually a mandate for CW. Every episode must have some sort of dramatic confrontation like that that enables the characters to have heart-to-hearts with each other so they don't have to pay supporting and guest actors to have these emotional moments.
