I wonder how he will get away with the new season,

I'm about halfway through the first season and I don't know what I think of it yet. Like there's some really funny parts but I also think that the writing is very odd. Like normally you have a set up and a payoff in comedy, but in some episodes it seems like random things are set up and then forgotten. I like the show, just seems a bit odd. Like telling a joke and then leaving out the punch line. Does anyone else notice this?

Yeah, it's an unsettling, uncomfortable brand of humor. It doesn't produce a lot of belly laughs but it's one of those that you can watch and smile throughout.
