What does /tv/ think of this casting? I'm surprised by it, myself. Is Jackman a big enough star, the kind Mann needs for the types of films he makes? And what about him as an actor? Haven't seen enough to judge. Hope this pays off for the film and Mann.

Jackman is a gifted physical performer, and that's all Mann really needs to get a great performance. (see: Hemsworth) This is good casting, probably better than Bale would've been.
