Because it aimed for comfy capeshit fun with a dash of visual invention and it hit the mark. The DC films, by contrast, have moments of genuinely gorgeous imagery, but it's draped over a car-crash script that fails to get the basics right.

A 90% RT score doesn't mean critics gave it a 9/10 on average, it simply means that 90% of them thought it was a 6/10 movie or better.
