Hunter gatherers lived really well actually. If you made it past childhood, you were practically guaranteed a long life, and studies show that they may have had healthier teeth and bones than we have now.

I never said we are better off. It's clear the sedentary lives we lead are not good for us at all. It weakens are bones and joints, our circulatory and respiratory systems, and our mental health.

But that's all our choice. Blend the two and you get Japan, with a modal age in the mid-90s. There are areas in the Eastern Europe where 100s are not uncommon.

Physical activity, not diet necessarily. This is all choice. If we in the modern world would choose to be physically active along the lines of our ancestors, there wouldn't even be a comparison.
