Honestly, this movie wasn't a feminism propaganda piece. Xavier tells Logan that with female lions their back claws are used for defense, and then Laura uses her feet claws to protect her father.

This movie basically reinforced gender roles I.E. Logan is a hardass male that needs affection/care from a female, which was his daughter Laura. Xavier explicitly tasked Laura with caring for Logan, and making sure he didn't off himself.

This movie was heavily family oriented, and the director basically speaks at lengths about trying to keep other shit out of this movie. He was trying to keep this as character specific as possible, and the only overtone/argument I could see was about immigration and corporate greed.
