I really wish they injected a lot of money into a new Star Trek TV series, produced by talented people with the ability to make a fun, compelling and entertaining space morality play. You know, fans of the show who understand why people remember episodes like Measure of a Man, Best of Both World and Duet, and are able to refresh the franchise in interesting, innovative ways that reflect the anxieties of the 21st century and beyond.

How CBS thinks Discovery is going to be anything other than a total failure is beyond me.

We should find all the trek actresses from the various shows and post what they currently look like to see how badly that milk aged.

Evolution of a shows style is not necessarily a bad thing.

For example, TOS is very much a product of the "Spaceman Sam fights the Alligator men from Venus" school of sci-fi, whereas TNG (when it got good) slowed down a lot more and became more cerebral.
