On a tuesday, of all days.
Mortal Kombat had a better script and better characterization, but the only thing that really stood out about the movie were the visual effects. Outside of that, it's kind of bland. It doesn't work great as a comedy or a martial arts movie. Rewatch it some time and really focus on the fight scenes. The choreography is pitiful.
Street Fighter is literally a parody of the games. In that sense, it's pretty funny. There were a lot of unintentional laughs too. Van Damme and Raul Julia were both terrible, but you could tell that Raul Julia was purposely hamming it up and he's fairly entertaining because of it. Van Damme just thought he was actually doing a good job, which is sad. It's hard to judge the fight scenes because there really aren't many of them. Chun-Li's fight with Bison was hype as fuck though, which surprised me.
Neither of them are very good, but Mortal Kombat was objectively better made.
MK only has Liu Kang fight scenes and some sweet sets.
SF is overall more fun to watch.

>MK only has Liu Kang fight scenes and some sweet sets.
And a kickass soundtrack.
Both are shit. However...
>Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist
>Mortal Kombat: Legacy
Which of these two are better?
>>80128477
>Who is johnny cage
>Who is the motherfucking guy that made the game devs change a character solely on characterization
>>80128477
>johnny cage vs Scorpion
Arguably the best fight in the movie
>>80128157
Both are shit but MK gets the prize thanks to the soundtrack - reptiles theme is rad.
>>80128556
Not to mention he only had like, 10 minutes of total screentime. That's how good he was.
>>80128556
Kano was re-written from the ground up thanks to the movie portrayal too.
MK
But I wouldn't put Street Fighter too far behind it.
>>80128157
MK by a mile
the soundtrack helps too
MORTAL KOMBAT
DO DO DO DOODOO DO DODO DOODOODO
MORTAL KOMBAT
>>80128569
>Scorpion was a fan of Johnny
>>80128157
SF
More fun to watch.
MK has better fighting, sets, qts, treatment of the source material, and OST
SF is more fun.
>>80128706
SCORPION
>>80128157
as movies they're about the same level of quality but MK was a good adaptation of the source material, whereas SF was completely butchered
the real question is did sonya or cammy give u a bigger hard on?
>>80129615
Kitana for me
>>80129615

>>80128157
Mortal Kombat is the better kung fu action movie.
Street Fighter is the better comedy.
>>80128556
>>Who is the motherfucking guy that made the game devs change a character solely on characterization
Mind explaining this? I was never into MK as a kid and only got familiar with it in recent years. Was Johnny Cage not always a hotshot actor guy?
>>80128930
Those subtitles are wrong. I'm pretty sure the line is, "No, yooflas churbawlsss."
>>80133495
He means Kano. He wasn't a scottish badass in the games until after the movie came out.
>>80133586
>scottish
>>80128930
Was this scene supposed to be a satire of British reluctance to intervene in Bosnia?
