Holy FUCK that CGI is that actually in the final movie? That's awful.

No, you can't. There's a reason why the film was given an R18+ rating, mate.

I can see why its easy to make this mistake, but not all capeshit is for children, some is specifically for manchildren

How much force are his claws shot out at?

Stabbing someone is so much more fucked up than just shooting them.

It's kind of sick that Logan paid the filmmakers to make it R-rated. He WANTED this scene. Psychopath?

In the movie, the shot is longer (2, almost 3 seconds on the claws)
>>
>>80127212
Liar. It was longer and not shaky at all. Not THAT shot.
>>
>>80127155
It's not like that in the actual film. The camera is shaky much more and he's basically stabbing everyone in that scene really quickly, a sort of in and out thing.

Those bits look fine. I don't see why you're all harping on that when you could complain about the actual bad CGI like the mountain wall when they're hoisting Logan up or the girl when she's climbing on top of the car during the chase at the beginning.
>>
holy shit logan looks like """"THAT"""??
>>
>>80123156
wolverine is the worst "hero" ever, he literally stabs people to death

if it was portrayed realistically you'd have to show how he stabs people 10-15 times to death while they moan and sob and make all sorts of suffering noises
>>
>>80127268
Don't give these retards ideas!
>>
>>80127268

>>

>>
There was a kid who couldn't have been older than like 10 behind me when I saw this Friday night. I don't know if it would be worse if his parents took him to see this and didn't expect it to be so violent or if they did expect it.

>>80127334
>Cyclops is the worst "hero"
ABLEIST!!!
>Storm is the worst "hero"
Albinoism!!!!!
>>
>>80127268
It doesn't take 15 stabs to kill someone anon. Also, if you get stabbed through the head like in OPs image you don't moan and sob, you're fucking dead
>>
>>80127373
Violence is oaky, it's boobies they have to watch out for.

It could give the kids ideas. Ideas about SEX!
>>
>>80127416
one stab can be deadly of course, but most of the time not immediately

murder victims often have 10-20 stab wounds for a reason, the murderer probably expects them to drop immediately and then freaks out when they just won't sop moving
>>
>>80127489
I don't think most stab victims get stabbed through the fucking brain
>>
>>80127268
Kek i can imagine that
>>
>>80127489
People get stab in the herat and survive on a regular basis. ER are a fount of weird information about the sturdiness of the human body against damage.

There's a lot of cases of someone getting somthing shoved throught heir skulls and not only surviving, with minimal or no brain damage, but being concious and not even in pain when it happens. Weird.
>>
>>80124564
Honestly kinda agree here. It's the theme and setting that makes it unsuitable for kids
>>
>>80127514
it's kind of obvious that we're talking about hin in general and not just this one fucking scene
>>
>>80127545
This is different tho
we are dealing with fictional metal that rapes everything
>>
>>80127565
True, but at this point I have given up on having movies portray injury in a realistic way
>guy gets bopped on the head and falls unconscious
>wakes up later without having any cranial trauma, brain hematomes or any other of the side effects of being hit in the head so hard you pass out
Which this movie does at least once
>>
>>80123156
why no Wolverine butt in this film?

as opposed to real metal that... rapes everything?

I remember when X-Men Origins: Wolverine was leaked, some of the CGI was unfinished, like the scene where Logan is thrown on a truck transporting logs, it just showed a grey CGI doll.

When this scene happened I assumed it was shitty and unfinished CGI.

When will the rating meme fuck off already?

There is an episode of Hardcore history podcast in which Dan Carlin describes parenting in antiquity, and says that most kids at that time were constantly exposed to blood, gore, tits, pedophilia, rape, death, and other horrors, and most grew up perfectly fine and functional members of society. The idea that a kid will somehow become damaged from seeing fake blood in a movie is fucking retarded.

He was talking about how that night in the farmhouse was the best night he's had in ages. But at the same time thinking he didn't deserve it because he remembered what happened when he had the first seizure that killed 7 mutants and the second which almost killed even more civilians. He realized what he was putting Logan through and apologized to who he thought was Logan.
>>
>>80123181
It is just one frame. The CGI of the movie is decent
>>
>>80126756
It was even more violent than deadpool
>>
"Logan" was good, but it was nowhere near capekino.

>weak villains(s). First it was Narcos guy, then it was mad scientist guy
>I never got the sense that they were in danger. Laura and Logan can kill like 60 elite soldiers in 5 seconds.
>they went to the black family farm knowing they were being hunted
>still not sure how all the mutants died. The radio said 7 died at the Westchester school. The corn syrup in food prevented any new mutants from being born. So what happened to Storm, Colossus, Cyclops, etc?

>>
>>80123181

>>
>>80143611
I'm pretty sure the corn syrup also suppressed mutant powers, hence the gene therapy talk. That would explain better why Logan's healing powers took such a steep downward turn and why the other X-Men disappeared. They either lost their powers, got hunted down by Caliban while he was still working for the bad guys, or are hiding out in some enclave in Russia growing their own food.
>>
>>80143742

Are you sure? The radio said "The incident at the casino was similar to the incident in Westchester that left 7 mutants dead".
>>
>>80143753

That's kinda weak. There must be millions of mutants in the world, I'm sure not all of them eat and drink the packaged shit constantly.
>>
>>80143611

I thought this was the alternate timeline that broke off from days of future past.

So all the mutants were killed by the sentinels, save Prof X and Wolverine.

Also, it mentions in the movies how country rock gangster read about Caliban working together with them to hunt down mutants.
>>
>>80143820
>So all the mutants were killed by the sentinels, save Prof X and Wolverine.

Interesting idea, but we saw that world in Days of Future Past. All of humanity was on the brink of extinction.
>>
>>80126580
That's not an untrue statement
>>
>>80143753
The Adamantium for whatever reason poisoned him over time and supressed his powers.

Also, to my knowledge 24 shouldn't have died if he got his head blown out. The only way to kill Wolverine is either by drowning him or how they did it in the comics.
>>
>>80143611
>weak villains(s). First it was Narcos guy, then it was mad scientist guy
The villain from the beginning was Logan. The entire time he was trying to fight off his anger and rage which became personified in X-24. Once he finally got passed it, was when he was happy for the first time in only god knows when.
>I never got the sense that they were in danger. Laura and Logan can kill like 60 elite soldiers in 5 seconds.
The "danger" would be X-24. Other than that the danger is the harm they put other people in. Normal people cant fight off 60 soldiers let alone a clone of wolverine thats hellbent on killing everything in sight.
>they went to the black family farm knowing they were being hunted
Xavier and Laura went. Logan just went because his life would be a living hell otherwise.
>still not sure how all the mutants died. The radio said 7 died at the Westchester school. The corn syrup in food prevented any new mutants from being born. So what happened to Storm, Colossus, Cyclops, etc?
They were hunted down and killed.
>>
>>80143927

Herr derr 2deep4u. Shut up.
>The "danger" would be X-24.
True, but he should have shown up earlier. And he seemed to be Logan's physical equal.
>Xavier and Laura went. Logan just went because his life would be a living hell otherwise.
Logan has no trouble shutting down Laura and Xavier throughout the entire film. He could have went to the Xavier and said "listen, if we go to this farm Transigen will kill them if they find us".
>They were hunted down and killed.
By whom? How did this happen? It's easier said than done to hunt and kill millions of people scattered around the globe. Those elite soldiers had trouble with 6 kids and Logan.
>>
>>80123386
Have you ever read a Wolverine comic? PG-13 Wolverine is not the Wolverine everyone knows and wants to see.
>>
>>80143881

I think that they only targeted Mutants and Mutant sympathisers.

Logan in the reboot series didn't have a relationship with the school or Xavier.
>>
>>80143816
No, but if they pop up and make a fuzz they're easily hunted down by the corporations, without the X-Men to lead them.

And it's pretty fucking easy to suppress mutants if every soft drink and such had that stuff in it. They'd have to live entirely off of non-gmo food just to keep their powers and then be hunted for doing it. Would they really give a shit? Cyclops would probably be pretty psyched about being able to see the world without a red tint again.

>>80143889
That's how it was done in the comics but that doesn't mean it's what did it in the movie, just as him dying in the movies doesn't need to be like him dying in the comics(where he was a stupidly OP character). Fucking with mutants through gene therapy causing his aging(and him doing nothing about it because he doesn't want to live) streamlines the movie down a whole lot, instead of having to explain why he suddenly started getting poisoned so heavily around the same time all the other mutants disappeared.
>>
>>80143611

>they went to the black family farm knowing they were being hunted

Yeah. Fucking up the lives of anyone they meet, as Logan has done for hundreds of years and Charles has ever since his dementia. That's the point - the whole peace of family life was dangerous and a fantasy, but believing that fantasy was the only happiness for them.

>X-24

>Logan
Aged man haunted by his past, namely the times he hurt people when he lost his temper or was otherwise told to. Goes by his birth name, trying to distance himself from what he once was and tries to avoid conflict

In the scene where Xavier dies Xavier talks about how much of a burden he is to Logan before X-24 gets kills him much like Logan would, if he let his anger get the best of him.

Introduced halfway through the movie and was pretty much equal to Logan physically. (in theory he should have just ripped Logan's head off in 2 seconds, but they seemed evenly matched considering how weak Logan was).
>>
>>80144367
Yeah, because mutants killing eachother off in some war definitely has the same thematic meaning as humanity suppressing mutants through gene-technology and creating their own mutants to be used as tools instead.

The stuff isn't just in drinks, it's in everything that's got artificial sweetening, which means it's in pretty much ALL processed food. And that's just the corn syrup they fucked with.

Did you miss the part where they mentioned that Caliban helped them hunt down mutants? Between the X-Men getting killed by Xavier(most likely the team-leaders), black-ops teams hunting down other mutants of genetic importance and every mutant having to rely on their own harvests to not lose their powers it's not much they could do.

It makes more sense than a cryptic "they died fighting Magneto", which explains exactly fuck-all about where Magneto and his guys are.

>The stuff isn't just in drinks, it's in everything that's got artificial sweetening, which means it's in pretty much ALL processed food. And that's just the corn syrup they fucked with.

I get that. But after a few weeks and Cyclops noticing that he no longer shoots lasers out of his eyes that he and the rest of the X-Men would want to investigate this? It's also implying that everyone eats processed garbage everyday. Why wasn't Wolverine effected by this? That shit would surely be in all the beer he drinks.

>Did you miss the part where they mentioned that Caliban helped them hunt down mutants?
1 guy couldn't hunt down millions. I assumed he was hunting down the scattered remains from some unmentioned event (and not, not death by soda).

>Between the X-Men getting killed by Xavier(most likely the team-leaders)
Only 7 died.

>
It makes more sense than a cryptic "they died fighting Magneto", which explains exactly fuck-all about where Magneto and his guys are.
You're throwing out 17 explanations that don't add up. "Millions of mutants around the globe died from drinking too much Dr. Pepper + Caliban hunting + 'elite' black ops teams that lose 50 members on every raid"

The US government at the height of Cold War spending could only get their hands on enough Adamantium to coat Wolverine's bones in and then maybe a couple of bullets. Originally the stuff coating his bones was supposed to be all they could find, I think. A multi-million dollar corporation has nowhere near as much money and pull as the US government had back then, and a large chunk of it is obviously busy poisoning Logan.

How did Charles not any money? That land in Westchester is probably worth $10 million.

>Cyclops noticing

Cyclops and Beast are most likely dead from Xavier's seizure, since they'd be the most likely to be hanging around the mansion. Do you really think Jubilee or whoever's left of the X-Men would be smart enough to figure out it was gene-therapy supplied through every type of food that took away her powers? Most mutants around the world wouldn't even give a shit about losing their powers. They'd finally be able to slink back to humanity. It's only Magneto's Brotherhood and the X-Men who have been hardcore mutantites.

>Why wasn't Wolverine effected by this

He was... Hence why the adamantium started poisoning him at the same time as all the mutants disappeared.

I'm working entirely off of what was shown and told in the movie, as opposed to going off of what's happened in comics. The movie made a big deal about the gene therapy in the food, so that's what I go with, instead of making up a typical capeshit show-down fight between good and evil mutants that manage to kill both groups off.

So did the food scheme start before or after the Westchester incident? If before, surely they would have noticed something (or someone would have, mutants losing their powers would have been big news and Charles would have tried to find out why).

>hey'd finally be able to slink back to humanity.
Huh? Not every mutant decided to get that antidote, so no not every mutant would be happy.

>He was... Hence why the adamantium started poisoning him at the same time as all the mutants disappeared.
Ok, so this food-gene-therapy wipes out everyone's mutant power...but not Wolverine's? He can still heal (slower, but can still heal).

X-24 was all rage and remote-control. Logan's been fighting in wars since WWI. Dude's got way more combat experience than anybody training X-24 to fight AND can supply near the same rage when it's needed for that extra little push.

Warrior cultures were made up of warriors perpetuating their own culture. They weren't non-warriors trying to make children into warriors. Their problem was that they were a company who fucked up since they, like all companies, wanted to save money and had the project run by an egghead who didn't know how to produce a child soldier, instead of someone actually suited to rear their soldiers.

If Sabretooth had been the guy running the joint then they'd had perfect little child soldiers, but a company wouldn't want to hire a man like Sabretooth.

X-24 was something they could handle, because he's just a matter of unleashing him on your target.
