The Jim Carrey Trilogy
>>80100135
I also wonder how obvious some of the intentional "uncool" stuff is going to seem. The movie had such a "timelessly odd" vibe to it at the time that I don't want some of that to just be written off as "wow 2004 was WEIRD."
>>80100702
What? Oh, dAWWgs. Yeah.

>>We're in the pipe, five-by-five.
I have to admit that I never really understood the "five-by-five"-portion of this. Seems like some Americanism that just keeps sailing right over my head. What is "five-by-five"? Is it a measurement? Does it mean "five at a time"= If so: Five WHAT? I just don't get it.

Napoleon dynamite is a modern masterpiece. The 80s organ melodies, the blank vistas, the deadpan delivery, it's perfect.
>>80099846
maybe for non-chads
>>80107109
I agree 100%. And it still holds up. Plus it's humor has been emulated endlessly and you can spot it in basically any cartoon or comedy today. It told the world it's ok to be yourself and be goofy.
The prom scene is also probably my favorite prom scene in any movie.
>>80099846
I like to quote the dance scene XDDDD
