Well, TLA is an extremely well written story that progressively evolves until a fantastic ending that did not have any spinoffs or sequels. It is a concise story that doesn't drag on or leave too much unintentionally unanswered. The characters are fantastic and while there is very little deaths, the ones that are there have a strong emotional impact.

GoT is a well written story that was beautifully produced but continues ever on with no real end in sight. The characters are fantastic but it doesn't give you any chance to get used to a majority of them before they, quite literally, get axed.

You cant even really compare the two properly since theyre quite radically different.
