Never see it mentioned anywhere, but I've always thought it's a great film.

End of Days, with Arny is also under rated. I wouldn't go as far as a masterpiece by any means, but I've always thought the gap between public perception and my own opinion has been huge. Best of the films during his decline: Batman and Robin, Collateral, The 6th day (also under rated IMO), End of Days.

It's a great film but I never got the obsession with it. I guess it just has the right mix of autistic imagery and quality to make it perfect memetic material.

And I'm not sure why, but the film has always had the same 'feel' as Hannah in terms of the type of enjoyment and experience I get from it.

ID is schlock with an incredibly contrived script but had a big budget and stood out at the time it was released.

War of the worlds was just... eh. Decent but pretty forgettable. Cruise in a purely serious role doesn't work for me often and I dislike kids in most movies.

This movie always makes me nostalgic. Saw it in a sketchy $1 movie theatre at a weird time in life and I remember being in a strange trancelike state. The end left me feeling dazed and confused. I remember smoking weed while listening to chemical brothers.

Parts of the DC are ok but yeah it's pretty shit otherwise. The director seemed to want to make the movie as much like a dark gritty movie from the 70s as possible which raises the question of why wouldn't someone just watch Point Blank instead? Mel's version worked much better as a Mel Gibson movie.

Ironically the Aussie bluray has both versions whereas I don't think the American does.
