In the Duckstales trailer, every time one of them talks, their mouth movement is barely one step up from the way South Park animates Canadians. The articulation looks like the kind of 2 frame yapping people make fun of Anime for having a lot of the time.

It genuinely looks more like claymation than a cartoon in the animation department, if I'm honest.

The artstyle is a bit simplistic, but it works, also they added more character to every cast member and the show seems to show a bit more self awareness.

That's besides the point though, as it's not the art style they're complaining about, but the animation. The art style of this new Ducktales is fine but the animation is really static, whereas those Mickey shorts are very dynamic and, well, "animated."
