Almost made me throw up. I don't watch superhero movies, I went into it because my brother invited me and it had a nice premise; no big war, just bros searching for a way out.
But holy fuck people, Professor X just got buried and all you think about is laughing at Logan, who is trying to cope with the loss.

I'm not a big fan of the franchise, bud despite that, I still felt a certain level of reverence towards Xavier and Logan. That's their last movie in those roles, Stewart and Jackman, that's Xavier and that's Logan and they portray them so good. Sitting there, it was disappointing to observe people, that are probably more invested into the series than I am, show so little respect towards their characters.

I didn't think they'd actually kill the whole family when they were on the farm. I thought the dad would die saving his family or some shit. This. No other superhero film has portrayed this before and I am surprised Logan got it right when it's the first one to do so. DotFP could be counted as one but it was more of an extinction film which deals with the mutants hunted down, they were still in their prime during those times.

This was a great film, I'd say. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but I couldn't think of a better send-off to Hugh Jackman's portrayal of The Wolverine.

Today i saw it and it was really meh.
The climax endet way too fast, plotpoints where forgotten (like the army faggots using Calibans corpse to make new mutants or whatever) and Laura not talking for half the movie, then suddenly speaking spanish and then even english.
The major deaths were also kinda anti-climatic.

AND was pissed me off most: no post credit scene.

I expected a teaser for the next young-generation X-Men movie because, some Jean phoenix stuff, even if subtle. Post credit scenes dont have to be related to the same movie.

Now that i think of it, what also annoyed me was the mutant kids just running away most of the time instead of using their powers. They could have easily handled the situation by themselfes, at least against the soldiers. They barely used their powers.

And a little flashback and more context for what happened one year ago with Charles would have been great too.

That would probably be the best post credits scene in history. mainly because most of them are retarded

The kids at the end stopped it from being perfect. Should've been nobody at the house (or at most one or two extra kids that maybe die or get seriously hurt in the final fight), Logan and his daughter go their separate ways then Logan has a change of heart/sees the bad dudes in the distance and goes to save her then they tag-team stab everything to death. After that it could still end the same way, it was such a dour film anyway so having a bunch of kids we have no investment in character-wise appearing and "making it" at the end wasn't worth shit.

I just don't get why EVERY one of them had the metal arm. It seems like an odd choice and I don't think it'd immediately imply that X-23 cut their arms off, especially when throughout the whole movie her preferred method of attacking is stabbing chests and necks rather than cutting off limbs.

I think it's either they hired people with missing limbs and gave them new ones or they all volunteered to get a new arm for some other combat reason. I think I blinked and missed it but they show the fingers on the hand being able to bend backwards right? So it's got some useful functionality beyond a normal human hand, plus if you do get your robo hand chopped off by any one of the three metal clawed mutants running around in this film you can just pop a new robo hand in. It's an upgrade. I'd question the necessity of it but hey I guess Transgien have money to burn.

This is the finest superhero/comicbook movie ever made. And to think people want the x-men to be part of the MCU. if x-men was part of the MCU this movie would never have been made in a thousand years.I'm actually glad Fox owns the x-men. I actually have faith now that they can do a good fantastic 4 movie. They just need the right team behind it. Josh Tranks F4 was fucked the moment he signed on. Chronicle was a 1 hit wonder. Reboot it with a competent director. And take your time.
