I'm with you on that. Cinema is visual storytelling and besides that arty fartsy piece of crap THE ARTIST barely any film nowadays evokes that. There was another film recently, called THE TRIBE which is about a street gang of deaf people. It literally has no dialogue except signing and there aren't even subs for that. Really intense movie.
