They tried to give us a complex cunning hero, and the most cunning thing he managed to do was stupid killing. I just finished it and I really enjoyed it because I like 1800s England settings but we found out nothing about Delaney.

Plus, he was a massive Gary Stu that was one step ahead of everyone until the end where the Regent was just like "kill him" so there could be a big finale. I feel a bit let down since nothing happened other than he finally got his fucking shit which was the point. No African voodoo shit revealed. Nothing. I liked it a lot but I can see most people dropping it 4 or so episodes into it.
