Because they either couldn't get the rights to use them, couldn't be bothered trying to get to use them, or the company which owns them makes or invests in a competitor's product and they don't want to give the brand they're using free advertising.

It's weirder when there aren't any real brands in a show, made up Generico products stick out like a sore thumb.
