Now that the dust has settled, what does /tv/ think of The Dark Knight Rises' opening plane scene?
I thought it was lame
>>79923166
It was a big scene
>>79923224yes
I have completely forgotten that this is the start of a Batman movie.

It's a pretty memorable scene, a lot of cool cinematography and action sequences. I noticed there's some weird dialogue between the hero and villain though. Has anyone else noticed this?
It feels out of place.
It's like having a comedy segment at the beginning of a horror show.
I can't watch it without laughing like a turbo autist. You should've seen the way my parents looked at me last year when it was on TV.
>>79923308
like what?
>>79923361
>you're a fairly large individual
>in comparison to your own body size, yes
>>79923204
"Lame" doesn't begin to describe its lameness.
>>79923393
continue

Well for example, the CIA agent tells Bane "You're a big guy" to which Bane replies "for you."
I get that he's supposed to be saying "it would be extremely painful, for you" but the way it's paced and worded just makes it sound off. I'm surprised no one else has ever mentioned it before.
>>79923308
Can't say I've noticed it yet but I'm only on my 109th watch so there's still time.
Plane? Get him on Bane. Don't tell Harry meats back on the menu boys.
>>79923716
Why the fuck would an Uruk know what a menu is?
And why the fuck would Merry think "Entmoot" refers to a gathering of anything other than Ents?
And why didn't the eagles just fly Dr. Pavel to the high ground?

Hwo did I never read about this?
>>79923483
Wrong.
>>79923788
Wow. The meme transcends time and space. That crash happened before Baneposting really got going.
The ride never ends
Thoughts?
>>79923166
Probably the best scene in kino history.
>>79923166
It was basically Nolan thinking "how can we upstage TDK's opening?
>instead of a bank it's a plane
>instead of the mob it's CIA
>instead of money it's Dr. Pavel
>instead of the Joker it's a scrawny manlet- uh I mean "Bane"
>>79923166
Sticky this for the 5th anniversary? I think so.
