If you actually gave it a chance you would probably like it. I know /tv/ hates Lena Dunham, but she actually shows a lot of self-awareness and humility in her writing in Girls.

There were multiple episodes last season making fun of how ridiculous SJWs are for example (the video got deleted from youtube so I cant link it) Every female character is a complete narcissistic bitch as well, on purpose.

I read that book. It tore a hole in my fucking soul so deep and wide I refuse to watch the movie on the off chance it kills me.

Only thing that came close was a book called The Ruins. Its about a bunch of white college students who get trapped on a hill covered in weird ass, malevolent, intelligent plant that eats people. You know from launch that these kids are 600% FUCKED. But you can see you've got a whole fuck load of pages left jam packed with descriptions of their suffering to get through before they die. And you know its never going to get any better for them. Like self imposed, fascinating torture.

I agree anon. Most autists on /tv/ are so obsessed with capeshit and self important arthouse that they can't even try to appreciate a tv show like girls. It is self aware, it is funny and sometimes heartbreaking. It is a good show. It's not the best show on TV but it's not worth outright derision simply because Lena Dunham is a fat who doesn't shave her legs. If that's all it takes for you not to be able to watch a tv show then why should I trust your opinion on anything? Do you just shut off the tv when you see something uncomfortable?

Valhalla Rising, but its also pretty kino so you dont really feel that down when watching it. Its atmosphere is pretty much unparalleled. I can also recommend Stalker which I feel also captures a similar feel.
