Alright buds, let's rank the past 5 winners for best picture. I foresee shitposting, shitflinging, >watching movies'ing, but it should be fun.
Here's my personal ranking:
>1. Spotlight
>2. Birdman
>3. Moonlight
>4. Argo
>5. 12 Years a Slave
remember: if you haven't seen one or some of them, don't rate. watching trailers on youtube doesn't count :)
1. 12 Years a Slave
2. Birdman
3. Moonlight
4. Spotlight
5. Argo
Argo is perhaps the single worst best picture win in the history of the academy.

Argo
Spotlight
It's been a while since I've seen Argo. So I can't remember if it was better or worse than Spotlight.

Spotlight is in no way worse than Argo. Argo is a cheap sentimental thriller with literally no subtext or depth. I can't even fathom how it won (oh right it was the token "Hollywood jacks off" nominee). It still doesn't add up to its win since it's in one of the worst genre's next to science fiction, fantasy, and horror.

now that I'm remembering, Argo was pretty forgettable. For me Birdman and 12 Years a Slave are pretty close on the list.

Yes. Thought I don't know what happened with Revenant. Guess it was just a test for his next movie.
