The Bakers I can handle. There's a tiny bit of age and weight-gain present in their voices but it's nothing I can't wave away. I think McCoy's maintained his voice the best.

C. Baker sounds a little different because of the difference in his performance, but it's definitely believable.

Louise Jameson is the most offputting though. It's difficult to listen to Gallifrey without imagining that Leela is an aged woman that's been on Gallifrey for years while Romana, being a Time Lord, hasn't aged a day.

That's more or less what we got in Series 8 but, ever since his offscreen personality transplant between seasons, Capaldi's Doctor looks and sounds like a complete fucking joke. He's a sunglasses-wearing, hoodie-wearing, mid-life crisis embarrassing Dad with no consistent character who looks like an old hag trying to be down with the kids. Series 8 was a character arc, the Doctor was unsure of himself and was always going to become the dad with the guitar, it's a conspiracy theory that they changed him to be more lively and ''nice'' due to negative feedback to how cold 12 was in his first series. 12 being cold then getting over himself and becoming how he is in series 9 while retaining a slight dark aurora was always planned and it was character development.

I actually did want him to lighten up as he could be a real dickhead in some of Series 8. But gradually and never to the extent of playing an electric quitar on a tank in medieval England while wearing sunglasses. If the writers had given him actual character development I think he would've surpassed Tom Baker as my favourite Doctor.

Matt Smith is the best Doctor (of New Who) because he's so wacky and zany.

Moffat got it absolutely spot on in Series 5, up until the finale, when the Doctor was just a 'madman with a box' again - none of this "oncoming storm" or "bringer of darkness" bullshit.

S5 Matt is probably my favourite Doctor ever actually.

The guitar/sunnies 12 persona would've worked if it was what he was like from the get-go.

Having the Doctor as a 'dark' character is fucking stupid, and can only really be justified for 9 and 10 at the end of his life (as he realises he's about to enter his final regeneration).
