What's the most epic scene in a movie or tv show? No chinese cartoons otherwise everything will be shit.
The kind of scenes that give you goosebumps every time you watch them.

Also, as reminded by the related videos: the ending of Se7en and the ending of lucky number slevin are good too.
The Lighting of the Beacons
I'm going full pleb here.
I dunno about "everytime" but the part where K2-SO dies in Rogue One was a fucking shock. I really expected some or all of them to survive. The whole final act of that movie was pretty chill inducing.
The ending of A Muppet Christmas Carol
Rosebud reveal/burning
This scene from Last of the Mohicans
The part in Inception where Cillian Murphy pulls the pinwheel out of the safe.
Dustin Hoffman give Joan her last confession in The Messenger

>Seeing the alien craft and the aliens for the first time in Arrival
>Tom Cruise walking out into a field of blood in the WotW remake
>The dad in awe in the final scene of Whiplash
>When the vampire soldiersbecome human after eating Sam Neill and realize they're about to get eatenat the end of Daybreakers
>The final scene of No Country for Old Men
Not all good movies but good moments
I need advice and can't find a relevant thread.
I want to watch a movie.
Should I watch a violent movie or a comfy movie?
Or both (cheesy action movie)?
On topic: Penthouse scene in Old Boy. Ending of Ran wherethe good son dies. Plenty of scenes in the dollar trilogy.

+1 for that last of the mohicans scene. Mogua might be a dick but him and the old guy are both bamfs

same, I thought that scene in Hot Fuzz with him was hilarious, where they had Martin Freeman as the Sgt, steve coogan as the inspector, and Bill Nighy as the chief inspector, reflecting roughly their position in the british film industry

Ignoring the rest of the third act, but in Sunshine when Cillian Murphy is trying to get to the bomb before it separates. Also the climax of the fountain. Both of those are largely due to the music though, and the visuals in the fountain.

Yes. That moment when he momentarily freezes in his tracks as he sees the entire world around him having been transformed will probably be etched into my mind forever.
That scene in Sunshine when the crew watches the Mercury eclipse is also powerful for me. I love that movie.

no I disagree, I didn't really like the opening. I thought everything after Bane beats Batman was great. The stuff in the prison, and the last half hour with the clock ticking for Gotham were all really enjoyable. Shame it takes so long to get there.

My tank autism was too strong to enjoy any of this. The entire thing was retarded, the very first shot Fury fired would have penetrated and knocked out the Tiger.
>>79803946
yeah it was more like seeing world of tanks: the movie with all the flanking and whatnot. Still though cinematically it was awesome.
The first fight was a bit better in terms of realism
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9x8yXtcFKg4
Shame things went off the deep end for the ending fight, I'm sure they thought the movie needed a big climax but it basically becomes 300 2: America's Revenge. The funny thing is though it wasn't entirely outside of the realm of possibility since the SS infantry units at that point of the war were infamous for boneheaded frontal assaults that needlessly cost lives.
>>79804066
I liked the tracer effects and thought the sound design was excellent, but everything else fell flat for me.
There were some really hamfisted attempts at emotional war drama and they did a poor job of characterizing the crew, there really wasn't any reason to like any of them.
>>79804118
I don't think you were supposed to really like any of the tank crew, they were all assholes who had only become bigger assholes from years of war.
The only part I really didn't like was the apartment scene which went on way too long, though I did like the part when they talk about the events after D-Day.

>water boarding your baby
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KlSuGNt8e4
this shit right here
>>79804617
that's not actually water boarding, that's just trying to drown your baby
water boarding is where you put a cloth over someone's open mouth then pour water on the cloth which causes the body to react as if its drowning when it actually isn't. It triggers a gag reflex and involuntary muscle reactions People have broken their own bones from thrashing in restraints. The way the CIA did it the person being tortured was subjected to a brief instance of torture, then a short break for them to catch their breath, then another round of torture. This would be continued for hours or more.
