it has cuckholding
Casino feels much more open, and weirder... I think Nicky Santoro is too much, but Stone's character could have been grounded in reality. There's more of Ginger than there was of Karen, right? At least it seems that way.
casino's runtime was bloated imo, they could have cut it down a lot
Did we really need to know about Deniro's character's fucking tv show, or how he was a dick to his baker?
>>79789861
I'd agree. But the difference in quality between the two is very minimal, both are fantastic films.
>>79789861
I think its a perfect pseudo sequel to goodfellas. Goodfellas is better but not by much.
>>79790952
>An equal amount of blueberries
Yes. That scene was kino as fuck.
Pesci's acting took a noticeable dive
>>79789861
it's better if only for the cinematography
>>79789861
Goodfellas is better for having Ray Liotta, he really balances Pesci and De Niro well
De Niro's interesting when he plays an oddly well-adjusted mobster. It makes every tics of his more amusing.

Pleb: The Godfather
Contrarian: Casino
Patrician: Goodfellas
The Godfather is like a book. You'd be surprised how many people think a character like Hagen is straightforward and honest. Some people even make a video analysis of their simpleminded reading of the film.
This movie is amazing. Extremely detailed. I wish there were more 'Casino-management' movies like this. Also the soundtrack was great.Ending was kinda ruined by the last line, "And that's that.'
Overall solid kino.

>how he was a dick to his baker?
Yes. He ran the place meticulously. Showing that down to the most intricate of details only served to build the character's motivations.

What's to discuss?

Oh Jesus, he's juggling

>movie based on book is like a book

Also the casino logistics-chain scene (who watches who).
Off topic, but godfather 2 is as shit as 3. Self-masturbatory piece of dung
Their italian is awful. Sometimes saying spanish words, or even switching to english mid sentence. Only Pacino and Duvall spoke it decently
The characters in Goodfellas were more interesting than in Casino. DeNiro was pretty boring as Rothstein.

>switching to english mid sentence
You don't know many greenhorns...
Casino has one of my favourite deaths in a mafia film

Shit cunt deserved it.
>>79789861
it feels a maturation of goodfellas for some reason..but not superior by much
if Goodfellas is like a 90, Casino is like a 95

it makes me smile that this piece of shit was beaten to death after all his bullshit in real life and was never found

Get off this board and the internet all together you undeserving faggot. If you didnt watch this movie with your father growing up you missed out and had a shit life.

Theres another thread about how his nigger wife is spending all his money so he has to keep making shit movies.
>>79793332
Just meaning that Coppola kept character motivations reasonably obscure, since books don't need to make everything align in the reader's mind. Not every director would retain that trait, right?
>>79791046
was it autism though?
>>79795007
That was just a quality control, people notice when they have no blueberries in their blueberry muffins

His ego and disconnect was part of the point, yes.

This, I've worked in food prep before. That chef was an idiot, it's not hard to keep a relatively consistent amount of blueberries in a muffin.
