I watched it but even as a kid I thought it was a generic watered down version of better tv shows and anime. The mech designs were pretty generic too.

They need to remake this series with more focus on tactics, preparation, and character development.

It really doesn't. Alright so there's three (actually 5, but no one cares about the last two) series, New Century Zero, Chaotic Century and Guardian Force. NC0 is the one you probably remember, that's the one with Liger Zero (the white armor liger, who had a toy gimmick of switching armors) Chaotic Century is the one where it's a teen taking down an empire, with the Shield Liger and eventually Blade Liger. Guardian Force is the one with the scorpion.

Chaotic Century is the best one, and even then, it's really fucking generic. Guardian Force sucked. None of them are really revolutionary, and the series is ded. The last animu was made in 2006. Good luck finding the models, you have to import on crazy inflated prices ($55 +90 shipping for a model that used to be $15)
