When I first found him about 3 years ago, I thought he was funny. And still he does a pretty good job of it *sometimes* but I think the video a week schedule is more than he can comfortably do.

And it was funnier the less gimmicky that it was. When it was just him ranting about the movie, he could be pretty funny if he had a really shitty movie to work with (a movie that was bad in a fun way).

His reviews of old 80s/90s commercials were pretty goddamn solid and there's like 6 of em.

But truth be told, I think he's tried to turn all of them into big cinematic productions using a lot of greenscreens and props for skits and guess what, him and his crew have only had a couple of skits that EVER made me laugh and now the material is about 90% skit.

I'm thinking he has to be spending a ton to make his vids when most people that do what he does, make them cheap DIY projects. He has a large studio that he rents in chicago filled with props and has a full time set/prop guy. It seems like he employs a lot of actors/actresses that seem to not have jobs throughout the regular work week (himself included). And he's not a huge name youtuber, so I couldn't possibly see him getting mroe than a few grand a month from his shit, it's like he's wanting it to be s springboard into real screenwriting and directing which it will never be.

But he's still alright, but it was far better when it was just a rant rather than a skit. And some of the associated acts like Nostalgia chick, Todd in the Shadows, Rap Critic, Stoned Grimlin, and even Tamara Chambers are actually so much better than his new stuff.

I used to watch the new shit every week. Now for several months, I usually turn it on, get put off by how NOT FUNNY it is and turn it off between 5-10 minutes.

I think he has a production company of people that rely on it as their day job so a vid a week is a must. And I suspect he's either breaking even or losing money. Probably a big inheritance or family money

He did actually buy a proper studio space. The problem is he did nothing beyond that.

The attached offices to the studio are what he uses to film everything - one office is used for the main set, the lounge is used for couch skits and all entrance/exit skits, and a small office is used for all green screen shoots.

There is a large studio space as well, but for years it was occupied with only one set - the Pop Quiz Hotshot set, and occasionally a couple of black curtains to make the Shut Up and Talk set. Recently, he's taken down Pop Quiz Hotshot and moved in the Awesome Comics set. The rest of the space is taken up as a work area for costumes and props.

You know when you buy a large studio with offices, and end up using the studio and offices for their reverse purposes, you're a fucking moron.
