Why are modern mainstream movies afraid to have colors in them?
>>79724642
The Assassin (2015). Although I didn't like the plot much. Visuals are still amazing though
>>79727842
i don't get it either, the marvel movies have this fucking disgusting sterile gray filter over everything and the sky always look like this
deadpool was probably the fugliest film ever made
>>79724642
The Fall is really good.
>>79727842
Don't remember where I read it but one of the Marvel producers said it's because grayed out films get a better response from test audiences. Personally, I think they should get a better audience! But obviously the studio wants to make sure the product will sell so they go with it
>>79727919
It's strange. Their movies have high budgets, they can afford any camera with any lenses they want. They have complete control over everything. And while the image on screen is clear, it's completely unappealing.
>>79726000
What do you mean? It's fantastic
>>79727842
>>79727919
>>79727992
The weirdest thing is that it's gotten worst. Iron Man (2008) had the best palette of all of them

Don't judge me.
>>79728638
No judgment anon, that film was a constant explosion of color and light. Sure it was almost entire CGI but that doesnt mean you arent pressed into your seat by the tidal wave of color coming your way.

Deadpool is Fox, not marvel. And it was filmed in Vancouver. It always looks like that.

What's with the chink obsession for running/standing on things that have no business being run/stood on? Bodies of water, flimsy swords, the tops of trees. Nothing is off limits.
Tron: Legacy

Since when is good cinematography reddit?
>>79728638
I never gave this movie a chance. Then one night I dropped a tab of acid and finally watched it. I actually went out and bought the bluray so I would own it. I haven't ever bought or will probably buy another physical form of media.

I couldn't find good torrents so I will buy it

Came here to post this. I find the two stories in this movie kind of lack luster, but the visuals and soundtrack are so good that i keep rewatching this

Speaking of which, does anyone have a grid for it?

How can someone with no taste have valid film criticisms

I think Chinese spiritually has to do with the flow of existence and its energies. Those who master themselves master the flows and currents of life. That's why water is always used in a spiritual manner in Chinese/Kung-fu/Wuxia films

OK...don't judge me, But I actually loved the look of The Crow and The Crow: City of Angels.
The second one, especially, was pretty much panned as a terrible movie based on the very bad script and editing, but even the critics admitted that the art direction was spectacular.
>>79730665
I don't know why, but I am haunted by the image of the kerosene fires in the orange grove.
Has anyone here seen the original it was based on, a Bulgarian film called Yo Ho Ho (1981)?

The crow looks fucking great my dude. The movie is pretty good to.

the Dollars trilogy has some really great shots, it didn't even need special effects. in particular the duels, Leone was making portraits through film, extremely meticulous, perfect shots that are so pleasing to the eye and perfect.

I didn't say anything about where you got it, I said you shouldn't be posting it. MGM's original colourless release and their new yellow 4k release are a blight upon the world and should not be shown.
The only valid TGTBTU release is the Italian Mondo one.
