Tennessee sets up a single remote turret to cover the grill and everyone else's escape but the proto-ayylmao dodges all of the shots. Clearly it was taking potshots at Cameron's Aliens.
In the final scene it shows Tennessee and the grill returning to cryosleep and David 1.0 smuggled ayylmao eggs and looks at an entire legion of cryosleeping colonists and he skips like a motherfucker

That doesn't justify it. Sperm is cheap and wombs are expensive, in biologic terms. This would be a reasonable argument to having a lesbian couple who agree to each get pregnant from donor sperm. But having extra sperm donors around doesn't help at all, as the females are the population growth bottleneck.

Think about it. In a theoretical extreme situation, you could have 1000 fertile women and 1 stud to knock them all up. But reverse the situation and have 1000 dudes and 1 woman, and no matter how many times she gets gangbanged, she's still going to be bottlenecked with a 9 month pregnancy and a recovery period before getting pregnant again.

The movie doesn't have a great premise to begin with since we could theoretically just send a bunch of androids to terraform planets and then just go them ourselves when the planets are ready.
