I really dont get it. He completely stole the film for me. Its honestly an astounding performance for an englishman. He's almost unrecognizable in the greatest way possible.

Hedges gave an award-worthy performance. Weaving deserved the nomination more than Bridges or Patel, the former of which only really acted in the last 10 minutes of the film and the latter of which was clearly a lead role. (and not that impressive tbqh)

Although desu I could hear a fair bit of his accent in his attempt at being southern. Of course that doesn't take away from his on-point acting game.
