I've not seen it either but the jist of what happens is there's this school shooter, then some retards who I assume are the main cast distract him for a while with interpretive dance before someone goes and twats the shooter.

this can't be real. What the fuck is this show even about?

Holy shit, are you serious? The PR music actually makes it a pretty cool sequence, but I can imagine how crongeworthy it would be to the silence or dramatic music which actually played in the scene.
What about the whole mystery, where the girl came from, where she's been, etc? Is that satisfactory?

That's why I stopped watching series at all.
It's always the same thing: they always start great with some grand plan, but writers change halfway and everything collapse, past season 2 the story completely drifts away from the main concept and changes into something entirely different, episodes are just filler content in-between scenes actually relevant to the plot, each season finale is disappointing as fuck, and eventually the series finale is a fucking disappointment, completely disconnected from what started it all, it's atrociously bad and you struggle to even care.
Now I'm more into cancelled series, stopped before they went to shit, stuck forever in a state in which they'll never age and keep their mystery intact. There's no ending, but at least it's not shit. Firefly and Utopia are my favorite, though Firefly got a closing movie that was actually good. Maybe that's the way to go, you just can't end a series with a single episode.

Well, it's badly executed unreliable narrator.
