The first half was just completely unwatchable. The boot camp felt like a rip-off of Full Metal Jacket and the war scenes had more cliche slo-mo action scenes then a Zack Snyder movie and is just christian torture porn like Passion of the Christ.

Reminder that when it came out everyone on this board loved it or had actual constructive criticisms over it, and after viewing a bluray rip they pirated with their moms internet connection everyone bashed it because of "hurr muh contrary opinion".
